This training will describe alcohol withdrawal syndrome, with attention to alcohol hallucinosis and its distinction from delirium tremens. Risk factors for severe alcohol withdrawal will be reviewed, as well as assessment and medications to treat severe withdrawal, with a focus on the inpatient setting.

This training is 30 minutes long; we will stay on the call for an extra 15 minutes after it is scheduled to end for an optional Q&A session.
Providers, nurses, counselors, and other non-clinical staff are welcome to attend.
