Intended audience

This conference is only intended for nurses and medical assistants who work at BSAS/DPH funded OBATs and are providing Medication for Addiction Treatment utilizing the Nurse Care Manager Model. All DPH/BSAS funded STATE OBAT Nurses and Medical Assistants are required to attend.

Objectives

After attending this conference, participants will be able to: *Understand the safety profile of medical cannabis. *Identify interventions to address with the patient who is using cannabis. *Understand the link between human trafficking and substance use disorders. *Describe specific mindfulness techniques. *Obtain the knowledge about how to apply mindfulness techniques into clinical practice. *Understand how to participate in a Zoom meeting. *Recognize the utility of remote conferencing with Zoom technology. *Implement strategies to identify co-morbid mental illness in patients with opioid use disorders. *Recall strategies to treat co-morbid mental illness in patients with opioid use disorders.
