MA OBAT ECHO®: Trauma Informed Care for Substance Use Disorders (Part of MA OBAT ECHO® Cycle 14)

As part of the twice-monthly MA OBAT ECHO® series, Megan Gerber, MD, MPH, FACP, will describe core principles of trauma-informed care and apply them to the assessment and treatment of individuals with substance use disorders across clinical settings. She will also identify practical, trauma-informed strategies to reduce re-traumatization, enhance patient engagement, and support recovery-oriented care for people with SUD. The didactic session will be followed by a de-identified patient case presentation from an ECHO® participant, along with recommendations from the panel of experts and attendees.
